About

More about me

I evaluate modern vehicle technology where safety, data, and real-world behavior meet.

My work now centers on vehicle safety research: planning evaluations, understanding system limits, analyzing data, and reporting results people can act on.

"Racing taught me to respect setup, feedback, and small changes that make a big difference."

"That mindset carries into my engineering work: practical, curious, and precise."

Outside of my professional work, I’ve spent countless weekends around race cars and short tracks. That background shaped how I think: listen closely, respect the data, and keep working until the evidence points to the next right move.

Racing is part of the family story. My grandparents, Bernie Partridge and P.J. Partridge, were part of NHRA’s early years. That connection gave me an early respect for speed, craft, preparation, and the people behind the machines.

I started behind the wheel of a Quarter Midget, but I eventually found more satisfaction in helping race cars get faster than in driving them myself. Working with teams taught me how much performance depends on preparation, communication, and calm troubleshooting under pressure.

That same mindset fits ADAS and vehicle testing. Whether I’m reviewing signals, planning a test, or working through a vehicle issue, I’m looking for the practical path from messy real-world behavior to a decision the team can trust.

My Skills

I keep building range across ADAS evaluation, vehicle dynamics, battery testing, headlamp research, safety planning, instrumentation, DewesoftX, ControlDesk, MATLAB, Excel, Python analysis, and technical reporting. The common thread is practical engineering judgment: define the question clearly, collect clean data, and explain what the results mean.

AAA Inc

Senior Automotive Engineer

• Supports AAA vehicle safety research from test concept through execution, analysis, and reporting, with work centered on ADAS, vehicle dynamics, battery performance, headlamp evaluation, and emerging vehicle technology.
• Defines test objectives, scenarios, performance metrics, instrumentation needs, safety controls, and data collection strategies for repeatable, real-world evaluations.
• Evaluates ADAS behavior in real-world and non-ideal conditions, including sensing limits, control behavior, operational boundaries, and broader vehicle-system interaction.
• Leads project-specific safety planning and risk mitigation for vehicle test activities, including field execution decisions when test conditions or vehicle behavior change.
• Analyzes vehicle data in DewesoftX, ControlDesk, MATLAB, Excel, and Python; builds custom calculators, validation logic, reference data, and reproducible analysis pipelines.
• Supports battery quality and performance testing, validation of battery testing instruments, headlamp photometry, aim and angle analysis, and glare research.
• Writes clear technical reports documenting methodology, assumptions, limitations, results, and conclusions for internal leaders, external partners, manufacturers, and public-facing research.

2017-2024

Dynamic Research Inc
